Status Update August 26, 2016

On August 25, 2016, the Court approved a final distribution of funds held by the Receiver to HSBC Bank Canada. In addition, PwC was discharged as Receiver and Trustee in Bankruptcy.

Status Update August 12, 2016

On August 12, 2016, the Receiver filed its Fourth and Final Report to the Court dated August 11, 2016 seeking approval for a final distribution of funds held by the Receiver to HSBC Bank Canada. In addition, PwC will also be seeking approval for its discharge as Receiver and Trustee in Bankruptcy. Creditors are invited to review the materials filed by PwC, including the final statement of receipts and disbursements and dividend sheet in the Bankruptcy and if any creditor objects (including PwC's discharge), the creditor is invited to file an objection with the Court prior to the application setting out the reasons for the objection. A letter has been posted in the notices section of this website which was sent to Enseco Canada creditors who filed claims in the bankruptcy.

Status Update March 4, 2016

On March 3, 2016, the Receiver filed a Supplement to the Receiver's Third Report to the Court dated March 2, 2016 seeking approval of an unsolicited offer from Mehran Parhiz for the Leduc Assets. On March 3, 2016 the Court granted the orders sought by the Receiver as set out in its Supplement to the Third Report.

Status Update February 23, 2016

On February 22, 2016, the Receiver filed its Third Report to inform the Court of the failure of TechMaster Oil Tools Inc. to close on the sale of the Leduc assets and to seek approval of the auction proposal of Century Services Corp. in respect of the Leduc assets. The application will be heard on March 3, 2016.

Status Update January 15, 2016

On January 12, 2016, the Court granted the orders sought by the Receiver as set out in its Second Report to the Court.

Status Update December 23, 2015

On December 21, 2015, the Receiver filed its Second Report to inform the Court of the Receiver’s activities since the date of its appointment and to seek approval of the sale of Enseco’s assets in accordance with paragraph 3 (l) and 3 (m) of the Receivership Order. The application will be heard on January 12, 2016.

Status Update December 1, 2015

On November 30, 2015, the US Court approved Orders granting recognition the Canadian proceeding as a foreign main proceeding and related relief pursuant to Section 1521 of the Bankruptcy Code.

Status of File as at November 18, 2015

As November 26th and 27th are National holidays in the United States (Thanksgiving), we have amended the dates to view Enseco's assets at each respective location to accommodate prospective purchasers, as set out below:

  • Grande Prairie - November 23, 2015
  • Leduc - November 24, 2015
  • Red Deer -November 25, 2015
  • Minot - December 1, 2015
  • Casper - December 3, 2015

The time period to view the assets remains unchanged from 9:00AM to 5:00PM local time and the deadline to register for asset viewings has been extended to 12:00p.m., M.D.T., on November 22, 2015.

Interested parties are requested to register for this viewing with Mark Wong.

The Receiver will accept tenders until 12:00p.m., M.D.T., Wednesday, December 9, 2015.

Status of File as November 13, 2015

In our capacity as Receiver, we are soliciting offers for the assets of Enseco. The Receiver will be selling the assets by tender with a deadline for the receipt of offers of December 9, 2015. An information package on this opportunity and form of offer is available in the Sale & Marketing Materials tab to the left. Interested parties should contact Mark Wong.

Status of file as of November 5, 2015

On November 3, 2015, the US Court issued a Preliminary Injunction Order against any one commencing or continuing any legal proceeding against the Company.

Status of file as of October 26, 2015

On October 14, 2015, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. was appointed Receiver of Enseco Energy Services Corp. (“Enseco Canada”) by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. Subsequently, on October 21, 2015, PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. was appointed Receiver of Enseco Energy Services USA Corp. (“Enseco USA”) by the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta. Enseco Canada and Enseco USA are collectively referred to herein as “the Company”.
