Carl left PwC Canada in 2020 as a partner in Toronto to found Virtue Compass Inc., where he now serves as CEO. His organization helps individuals and teams optimize their energy to lead with greater impact. He’s also the author of The Biology of Leadership, ranked #2 on Forbes’ list of top five leadership books to read now and for the future. Congratulations, Carl.
Kristen last worked at PwC Canada in 2018 as Senior Associate in the valuations practice in Toronto. She’s at a leading investment firm specializing in real assets and winner of the 2025 PE Rising Woman Star Award. A champion for gender diversity, she led efforts to hire more women into private equity roles and has been an active member of her firm’s equity, belonging, inclusion, and diversity think tank. Congratulations, Kristen.
Tahir last worked at PwC Canada in 2021 as the National Private Client and Markets Leader and Global Platforms Leader in Vancouver. Since retiring from the firm, he has worked as the Executive Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer at British Columbia's largest automotive dealership group. This year, he was elected to the Fellowship by the Chartered Professional Accountants of British Columbia. Congratulations, Tahir.
On September 18, 2025, PwC’s Montreal office hosted an Alumni Cocktail event at the InterContinental Montreal.
On May 30, 2025, our Montreal office hosted their annual Partner lunch at Honeyrose Hotel. There was a presentation by our Quebec and Eastern Canada leaders on PwC Canada’s strategy and priorities.
On May 22, 2025, our Ottawa office hosted their annual National Capital Region (NCR) Alumni Marquee event at the 50 Sussex event space. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with former colleagues.
On May 21, 2025, our Montreal office hosted a Deals Alumni mixer which offered valuable opportunities for reconnection and insightful conversation.
On May 14, 2025, our Edmonton office hosted an L&D session, followed by a networking reception at the Delta Hotel. Topics included geopolitics and implications on Canadian businesses, and an Introduction to Prompt Engineering with CoPilot and ChatGPT.
On May 7, 2025, our Vancouver office hosted their annual BC Alumni Partner lunch at the Vancouver Club. The event featured an update on the firm’s strategy and performance by Kate Furber, Vice Chair and Managing Partner BC Region, and Nadia King, PwC Canada CFO.
On May 6, 2025, our Winnipeg office hosted a gala event for Alumni at their newly renovated offices. Alumni had the opportunity to tour the new space, see familiar faces and make lasting connections.
On April 30, our Deals practice hosted their inaugural Women in Deals Alumni Mixer at 18 York in Toronto. The event offered opportunities to connect with inspiring leaders who are making an impact in their industries and sectors.
On April 9, 2025, our Calgary office hosted an Alumni L&D event at Hudson. During the session, attendees heard an update on the recent CEO Survey results from Nicolas Marcoux, PwC Canada CEO and Senior Partner.
On June 12, 2025, we hosted a Director connect webcast on sustainability. Speakers included Mark Podlasly, CEO of First Nations Major Projects Coalition and Sarah Keyes, Partner, Sustainability at PwC Canada. The session was hosted by PwC partner, Lona Mathis.
