Step 1: Online Application

We put inclusion at the heart of our application process

We strive to provide a unique and enjoyable application process that gives you the opportunity to showcase your talent and get to know us in more detail by submitting your application online.

For the best candidate experience, please apply in either English or French (Canada).

By selecting the language for your Candidate Application, you’re agreeing to that language being your preferred correspondence language for the duration of the recruitment process.

At PwC Canada, our most valuable asset is our people and we grow stronger as we learn from one another.

We’re committed to creating an equitable and inclusive community of solvers where everyone feels that they truly belong. We understand that experience comes in many forms and building trust in society and solving important problems is only possible if we reflect the mosaic of the society we live in.

We’re committed to providing accommodations throughout the application, interview, and employment process. If you require an accommodation to be at your best, please let us know during the application process.

  1. Technology-enabled applications: By enabling technology through the application process, we’ll move you quickly through the early stages of your application to the interview with hiring teams.

  2. Status updates throughout your application: You’ll always know the status of your application. If you’re unsuccessful at the application review stage, you’ll receive an email from our team and an invitation to look at other roles that may suit your skills better. If you’re unsuccessful at the interview stage, you’ll receive an email or a phone call from one of our Talent Acquisition team members to let you know you weren’t the selected candidate.

Step 2: Video interview

Bring your application to life and be your authentic self

We use on-demand video interviews. Hirevue provides you with a convenient, efficient and unbiased application process, saving you time and giving you flexibility. It’s configured for tablets, smartphones and laptops.

For Senior Manager positions and above, you'll have a preliminary video interview with a Talent Acquisition Specialist.

Please be advised that we can only conduct video interviews in English or French and your video will be completed in the language you selected for your Candidate Application. For example, if you applied in French (Canada), you’ll be invited to complete your videos in French (Canada).

What to expect during your video interview

  • You'll receive an email inviting you to undertake an on-demand video interview.

  • You’ll be able to complete the on-demand video interview from a comfortable environment. Be sure to check your lighting and background. Dress the same way you would for a live interview - business casual is fine.

  • You’ll need to check your internet connection, camera and battery charge. You’ll need a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone (computer, tablet or mobile phone).

  • You’ll login to the platform and be asked to answer several behavioural, technical and situational questions on the screen by some of our people.

  • You’ll have an opportunity to try some practice questions on the platform. These aren’t the real questions, and we won’t see your answers.

  • Remember to stay focused! Turn off your mobile phone if it’s not the device you choose for recording, and remove any other distractions.

Step 3: Live interview

Meet our community of solvers virtually or in-person

You'll receive an email, text or call from our Talent Acquisition team to determine if your live interview will be virtual or in-person, and we'll work with you to find a time and date that works best for everyone. If you’re used to speaking to colleagues and clients in a virtual environment, a video interview can appear to be straightforward. But even highly capable candidates can get nervous at this early stage, so here are some quick tips to help you prepare:

  • Find a place where you won’t be interrupted.
  • Double check that your camera and microphone are working.
  • Talk clearly and distinctly and think about your pace.
  • Try to connect with the interviewer in some way to build rapport.
  • Ask the interviewer to clarify what they’re asking you if you’re unsure.
  • Be yourself! Smiling can help you relax, and if you’re relaxed you’ll come across as more confident, friendly and comfortable.

Step 4: Offer!

Congratulations on being the successful candidate!

Our Talent Acquisition team will reach out to you if you’re the successful candidate. If you’re the selected candidate, they’ll extend you an offer to join us and begin the process of building a career with purpose at PwC Canada.

Frequently asked questions from our candidates

To help protect your personal information, we don’t promote or support third party application websites or services. Please contact us if a third party has asked for your personal information to complete your application.

As a candidate, you should never be asked to pay an agency or third party a fee for an introduction to PwC Canada. Please contact us immediately if an agency offers an introduction or a role with us for a fee.

Our team of recruiters sources candidates directly, and they’re always happy to connect with candidates about opportunities. At times they’ll work with one of our preferred recruitment suppliers to source candidates for particular roles. We don’t accept unsolicited resumes from recruitment agencies or suppliers that aren’t part of our preferred vendor list.

We don’t pay agency fees when speculative and unsolicited resumes are submitted to PwC Canada or any of our partners or employees other than through our recruitment process and Talent Acquisition Team. If this isn’t adhered to, we reserve the right to contact these candidates directly and have discussions with them without paying any agency fees. Submission of any unsolicited resumes or proposals to PwC Canada will be deemed evidence of full and unlimited acceptance of our agency policy.

We welcome applications from candidates already eligible to work in Canada. If you hold a temporary open work permit, you can apply to a role we currently have open. We may not be in a position to extend your work permit.

If you don’t work for the PwC network globally and don’t hold a valid visa, there are limited cases where we can sponsor a work visa. This may be subject to an assessment of candidate skills and approval to progress sponsorship from the business if a local resource cannot be identified.
