Nick Renaud is a Partner in PwC Canada’s Private Tax practice, based in Windsor. He is an experienced advisor to Canadian private companies, business owners, and high-net-worth individuals, providing strategic tax planning and advisory services designed to optimize financial outcomes in an increasingly complex tax environment.

Nick brings extensive experience collaborating closely with clients to understand their unique objectives and deliver practical, insight-driven solutions. His areas of focus include corporate reorganizations and restructuring, succession and estate planning, business acquisitions and divestitures, and the design of tax-efficient shareholder distribution strategies. He has also supported clients on charitable giving initiatives and broader wealth planning considerations across a range of industries.

In addition to his client work, Nick has demonstrated a strong track record of building and growing client relationships, contributing to both existing accounts and new business opportunities. Nick is also actively involved in advancing PwC’s broader tax practice through leadership in internal programs, thought leadership initiatives, and technology-enabled solutions, including serving in a tax subject matter role for digital offerings and facilitating professional development programs across the firm.

Nick has extensive experience advising Canadian private companies, their shareholders, and high-net-worth families across a broad range of industries. His client base spans entrepreneurial businesses, family-owned enterprises, and complex global private groups, where he serves as a trusted advisor on both day-to-day tax matters and significant strategic initiatives.

He specializes in designing and implementing tax-efficient structures that align with clients’ long-term business and wealth objectives. His experience includes advising on corporate reorganizations, succession and estate planning, and the tax structuring of business acquisitions and divestitures. Nick also has deep experience supporting owner-managers with shareholder remuneration and distribution strategies, as well as philanthropic and charitable giving planning.

In addition to traditional private tax advisory, Nick has developed a multidisciplinary perspective through his involvement in transaction-related work and large, complex client engagements, including those requiring coordination across tax, deals, and other advisory functions. He is recognized for his ability to integrate technical tax expertise with a practical understanding of business and financial considerations, enabling him to deliver solutions that are both technically sound and commercially effective.
