Philippe Desrochers

Philippe Desrochers is an Assurance Partner based in Québec City with more than 15 years of experience advising public and private organizations. He works with clients across a diverse range of industries, helping them navigate assurance requirements and complex financial reporting matters. Philippe brings a practical and collaborative approach to his work, taking the time to understand each organization´s business environment and objectives. His experience includes engagements involving both Canadian and international financial reporting frameworks, as well as a broad range of assurance matters. Through his industry experience and understanding of evolving reporting requirements, Philippe supports organizations in adressing their assurance needs and making informed decisions.

Throughout his career, Philippe has advised both public and private companies operating in financial services, real estate, construction and engineering, and manufacturing activities. His experience spans organizations with different business models, operational structures and reporting requirements. He has particular expertise in assurance engagements and financial reporting considerations relevant to their circumstances. This breadth of experience has given Philippe exposure to a variety of financial reporting environments and business challenges, allowing him to tailor his approach to the needs and objectives of different types of organizations.

Philippe holds the CPA Auditor designation and is a member of the Ordre des CPA du Québec. He is actively involved in the University recruitment as well as student engagement activities, helping connect students with opportunities to learn more about the profession and the CPA career path.

In recent years, Philippe has also contributed to his community through his involvement with Auberge Internationale de Québec, where he served as Treasurer. In this capacity, he contributed to the Organization´s financial oversight and governance. His combination of professional credentials, community involvement and engagement with students reflects his commitment to the accounting profession and to supporting the next generation of accounting professionals.
