Status of file as of January 21, 2026

On January 21, 2026, the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta granted the following Orders, which can be found under the Court Order tab of this website.

• Wabamun Checkpoint Inc, 2243811 Alberta Ltd., 2279657 Alberta Ltd. and 1286885 BC Ltd. – Distribution of Funds and Discharge Order;
• Wabamun Checkpoint Inc. – Sale Approval and Vesting Order;
• Wabamun Checkpoint Inc. – Sealing Order;
• 1286885 BC (Sicamous BC) – Property Sale Approval and Vesting Order; and
• 1286885 BC (Sicamous BC) – Sealing Order.

On January 9, 2026 the Receiver filed is First Report to inform the Court of the Receiver's activities and seek approval of the following:

• Receiver's activities, including fees and disbursements of the Receiver and its legal counsel;
• Increasing the Receiver's authorized borrowings;
• Proposed sale of the properties;
• Final distribution to the Bank of Nova Scotia;
• Discharging the Receiver effective upon the Receiver's Completion Affidavit; and,
• Temporary sealing of the Confidential Addendum.

Status of file as of May 5, 2025

On April 3, 2025, an order was granted by the Court of King's Bench of Alberta ("Receivership Order") appointing PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. as Receiver of Wabamun Checkpoint Inc., 2243811 Alberta Ltd., 2279657 Alberta Ltd. and 1286885 B.C. Ltd. (collectively referred to herein as the "Companies"); however, the Receivership Order was temporarily stayed from coming into force. The stay was deemed to have been lifted on May 5, 2025, such date being the effective date of the Receivership.
