Status of file as of April 8, 2026

A Court hearing was held on April 8, 2026. At this hearing, the Court approved the following in relation to the Receiver's March 24, 2026 application:

• Approval of the Receiver’s activities since the Receivership Date;
• Approval of the RVO Subscription Agreement for the sale of assets to the successful bidder and authorization for the Receiver to complete the transaction contemplated therein;
• Approval of the Proposed Distribution, as detailed in the Receiver’s Confidential Supplemental First Report; and
• Approval of the Sealing Order, sealing the Receiver’s Confidential Supplemental First Report until completion of the transaction.

The Approval and Reverse Vesting Order and the Sealing Order have been saved under the “Court Orders” tab.

Status of file as of March 24, 2026

A Court hearing has been scheduled for April 8, 2026. During this hearing, the Receiver will be seeking the following:

• Approval of the Receiver's activities since the Receivership Date;
• Approval of the RVO Subscription Agreement for the sale of assets to a successful bidder and authorisation for the Receiver to complete the Transaction contemplated in that agreement;
• Approval of the Proposed Distribution (as detailed in the Receiver’s Confidential Supplemental First Report); and
• Approval of the Sealing Order, sealing the Receiver's Confidential Supplemental First Report until the Transaction is completed. 

The Receiver's First Report has been posted under the "Receiver's Report" tab and the related Notice of Application materials can be found in the "Court Materials" tab. 

Status of File as of October 31, 2025

On October 31, 2025, the Supreme Court of British Columbia granted an Order appointing PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc. as the Receiver and Manager of all present and after-acquired property, assets, and undertakings of 1265056 BC Ltd., Abbotsford Super Market Ltd., Amol & Jas Holdings Ltd., Bains Brothers Holdings (2020) Ltd., Surrey Super Market 104 Ltd., Surrey Super Market Ltd., and Surrey Super Trading Ltd., pursuant to section 243(1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (Canada) and section 39 of the Law and Equity Act (British Columbia).
