Status of the file as of November 17, 2016

The Trustee presented its Preliminary Report at the first meeting of creditors.

On November 8, 2016, the Trustee filed its report dated November 7, 2016 (“First Report”) with the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta (the “Court”) seeking approval of certain activities undertaken prior to the first meeting of creditors.  On November 15, 2016, the Court granted the order sought by the Trustee as set out in its First Report. 

On November 16, 2016, the Trustee mailed information to the former employees of the Company on the Wage Earner Protection Program (the “Program”) enacted by Wage Earner Protection Program Act (“WEPPA”) and requested the former employees to file a Proof of Claim with the Trustee.

Status of file as of October 20, 2016

On October 14, 2016, Athabaskan Resource Company Limited Partnership (“ARC” or the “Company”) made an assignment in bankruptcy.  PwC was appointed trustee (the “Trustee”) of ARC.

The first meeting of creditors will be held on October 31, 2016 at the offices of PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc., Suite 1501, 10088-102nd Avenue, Edmonton, Alberta at 10:30 am.
