US Tax Technology Process Leader, PwC US
Michael Shehab leads Tax Technology, Compliance and Sourcing for PwC's US Tax practice. He is also the leader of PwC's US Tax Reporting & Strategy (TRS) practice. PwC's TRS is a global practice that utilizes process, data and technology to redesign, redefine, and redeploy our client's tax functions. Our TRS practice includes over 500 professionals located in 20 Centers of Excellence globally, including 5 located in the United States.
Michael has been helping organizations with all tax aspects of formation, initial public offering and operation for more than 18 years. He is a recognized industry leader when it comes to analyzing and improving the way clients use their people, processes, data, and technology to make their tax operations more effective and efficient.
Michael has worked across multiple industries through his experience managing and executing large-scale transformation projects. He has experience in the following industries: financial services, retail, automotive, manufacturing, and consumer products. Michael serves the firm's largest clients and is often called in for strategic advice on many large scale Tax Transformation projects in which PwC's TRS practice participates.
He earned a bachelor’s in Business Administration from Alma College and Master of Business Administration and Juris Doctorate from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Specialties include: development of master data management processes and systems, standardization of tax compliance processes, vendor management and technology selection, development of enterprise-wide tax compliance applications, tax function effectiveness reviews, shared service center formation & consulting as well as transaction support and Day 1 readiness.
