As PwC’s US Technology Industry Deals Leader and Silicon Valley Deals practice leader, Todson manages the technology-industry specific deals team. Together with his team, Todson assists companies with mergers and acquisitions transactions involving technology companies based in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to joining the Silicon Valley team, he led the Asia Pacific M&A business while based in Tokyo, Japan. At that time, PwC's 1,500-strong team of on-the-ground deal specialists spanned from China to New Zealand and India to Japan with services ranging from corporate finance lead advisory, to deal execution diligence and structuring through to enterprise-wide integration.
While covering all technology sub-sectors, Todson has significant specialized experience in hardware, networking, software and internet –related deals, in particular e-commerce and mobile gaming companies.
Over the past 10 years, he has advised on over 30 public-to-public transactions, over half of which were cross-border in nature. In addition to his merger and acquisition credentials, he also has experience in international securities offerings, as well as issues related to SEC regulation and compliance, financial reporting, and US GAAP conversion. He is conversant in Japanese and a U.S. CPA.
