Services & National Tax Services Leader, PwC US
Ken Kuykendall is a partner in the Washington National office of PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP and is a Deputy Tax Leader for the firm responsible for PwC’s Tax Services including International Tax, Transfer Pricing, Mergers and Acquisitions, and State and Local Taxation. Ken is also the leader of PwC’s National Tax Services practice.
Mr. Kuykendall has over 24 years of tax experience working with large multinational corporations to address issues across a broad spectrum of taxation including tax policy, planning and tax reporting. Mr. Kuykendall is deeply involved in both the US and Global tax environment including the efforts of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) and the US Government to better harmonize the global taxation system. Additionally, Ken is a specialist in the area of financial reporting for taxes, and in this capacity, has played a key role in advising the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) as well as the Internal Revenue Service, Congress and the US Treasury on financial reporting topics related to income taxes. Mr. Kuykendall has also previously served as the Director of Taxation for a Fortune 500 company and has first-hand experience with the operational areas of tax and strategically managing the day-today aspects of a US tax function.
Mr. Kuykendall is a frequent speaker in many public forums including Tax Executives Institute (TEI), Financial Executives International (FEI), the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the American Bar Association (ABA). Mr. Kuykendall has a Bachelors degree in accounting from Eastern Illinois University, a Masters degree in taxation from DePaul University, and a Juris doctorate from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Bar Association.
