Trip Wolfe is the President at PricewaterhouseCoopers Corporate Finance LLC. Trip joined the PwC CF practice in August 2016 to lead the Technology, Media and Telecommunications business in the United States and is based in the San Francisco office. He is responsible for both the leadership of the group as well as continuing to focus on helping emerging growth companies with corporate advisory and private capital solutions. Trip continues to work closely with the leading venture capital and private equity firms in order to help their portfolio companies maximize strategic alternatives. Trip has worked in Investment Banking and Equity Capital Markets for 20 years, focusing within the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (“TMT”) verticals. He specializes in advising emerging growth and venture-backed companies on both capital raising alternatives and M&A advisory solutions. Over his career he has originated and executed over 300 TMT transactions, accounting for approximately $250B in transaction value.
Trip has close relationships and actively covers over 100 venture and private equity firms as part of his broader calling effort, in addition to leading dialogue with their extensive network of private, portfolio companies. This network of relationships is a critical element to the success of the corporate finance deal origination and execution process. Some of his best relationships include: Accel, Andreessen Horowitz, Benchmark, Battery Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, General Atlantic, Greylock, Insight Venture Partners, IVP, Kleiner Perkins, Lightspeed, Meritech, NEA, Redpoint, Sequoia, Spectrum, TCV, among many others.
Prior to joining PwC CF, Trip was a Managing Director in the TMT Investment Banking Group at Citi and head of the Venture Capital coverage practice. He was responsible for managing all relationships and deal activity for the leading venture capital firms and their vast array of portfolio companies.
Trip has a BS in Business and Finance from Skidmore College. He also holds his Series 7, 24 and 63 licenses.
