Peter is a Tax Principal at PwC serving clients in the financial services industry. He served as the National Practice Leader of the PwC State & Local Tax (SALT) practice from 2014-2023. Peter’s previous roles include New York Metro SALT Leader and SALT Financial Services Leader.

With over 25 years of public accounting experience, Peter has specialized in the state taxation of the financial services industry. As a financial services industry specialist, he addresses a variety of state and local tax issues for banks, broker/dealers, real estate firms (including REITs), private equity funds, hedge funds, investment management firms, and insurance companies. Peter frequently advises his clients on complex nexus, apportionment, tax accounting, tax technology, transactional and compliance issues, as well as state tax controversy matters.

Peter holds a B.S. in Finance/Economics from Boston College, Chestnut Hill, MA, Cum Laude J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, Boston, MA. He was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in December, 1994 and is a member of the Wall Street Tax Association, New York City Partnership.
