Treasury and the IRS on September 12, 2024, issued proposed regulations on the application of the corporate alternative minimum tax (CAMT). Although the proposed regulations provide needed clarity to taxpayers on the applicability and implementation of the CAMT, they also illustrate how complex the CAMT will be for taxpayers and the IRS.
