Perched on a picturesque bluff between the Pacific and the Santa Ynez Mountains is Santa Barbara’s most iconic coastal resort village, The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara. This newly renovated oceanfront escape blends classic hacienda style and natural beauty with a laid-back California spirit. From sunrise to sunset, whether exploring the beaches and trails or relaxing in the infinity pools and expansive spa, there’s something to savor in every moment and every season at this Santa Barbara luxury hotel.

We must receive your reservation by Friday, May 1, 2026. After this date, we are unable to guarantee room availability. Room reservations will be made for all attendees based on the arrival and departure dates submitted during registration. The standard room rate at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is $449 per night, plus a 12% fee, 2.3% daily tax, and a $50 resort fee (plus tax). Upon check-in, the hotel will ask you to provide a credit/debit card for your room plus tax, fees, and any personal charges or incidentals. Please contact the Risk Exchange team with any questions or changes to your reservation.

Air and ground transportation

Participants are responsible for air and ground transportation to and from The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara. Please plan to arrive at The Ritz-Carlton, Santa Barbara, by Wednesday, June 3 by 11:00 AM PT to check in, pick up registration materials, and kick off the program at 11:30 AM. Registration opens at 9:00 AM PT. We’ll end our time together with some afternoon networking activities on Friday, June 5!

Please note: The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is approximately 7 miles from Santa Barbara Municipal Airport. We strongly encourage you to fly into SBA. The resort is short easy drive from SBA. You may also fly into LAX (approximately 110 miles from the resort).

Parking

The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara offers valet parking, which is the only on-resort parking option. Valet parking is included as part of the Risk Exchange program. Please inform the valet attendant that you are participating in Risk Exchange upon arrival.

Fees

Participants are responsible for their hotel accommodations, airfare, and ground transportation to and from the resort. The Risk Exchange program will cover all sponsored meals and program materials. There is no conference fee to attend.

Early-arrival Pickleball

Time: 7:00 – 9:00 AM

Grab your paddle and bring your game face—whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, join us for a high-energy pickleball session that’s fast-paced, inclusive, and full of fun. We’re serving up smashes, dinks, and friendly rallies to kick off the program in style!

Welcome reception and dinner

Time: 5:30 – 8:45 PM

Unwind after day one in a relaxed, open-air setting framed by sweeping Santa Barbara views. Enjoy curated cocktails, coastal flavors, and fireside conversation as the sun sets—elevated, effortless, and designed for meaningful connection.

Optional Guest-Only Experience: Bacara Spa - Sound bath & Sea Salt Scrub

Time: 10:00 – 11:30 AM

While attendees are in session, guests are invited to experience the power to rest, restore, and renew with a tranquil sound bath. Designed to harmonize your energy through therapeutic sound waves, this immersive journey fosters healing, mindfulness, and a deep sense of calm.

Following the sound bath, continue your wellness experience by creating your own custom Bacara sea salt scrub. Using locally inspired ingredients and scents that reflect the natural beauty of the property’s flora and fauna, you'll craft a blend that you can take home or enjoy after the session for the ultimate mind-and-body detox.

Closing Reception and Dinner at Marisella

Time: 6:00 – 9:00 PM

Join us for a curated, private dinner at Marisella, the coastal restaurant from Michelin-starred Chef Danny Grant. Set against sweeping ocean views, the experience blends refined design, intimate seating, and a warm, sophisticated ambiance. Chef Grant’s menu highlights seasonal ingredients and coastal influences, complemented by elevated hospitality—creating the perfect setting to unwind, connect, and reflect on program insights.

Naturalist-Guided Eco-Hike

On resort property | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM

Discover the beauty surrounding the resort and explore the natural environment of Gaviota Coast under the tutelage of Naturalists. Join in a guided nature tour that celebrates the vibrant endemic plants of Santa Barbara, while learning about the history of Chumash Native Americans and the Channel Islands.

Coastal Catamaran Marine Tour

Offsite | 10:30 AM departure; 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM cruise

Set sail along the Santa Barbara coastline aboard a private catamaran. The local waters are home to over 30 species of whales, dolphins, seals, and sea lions throughout the year—making this one of the most consistent regions for marine wildlife viewing. Take in scenic ocean views while enjoying a relaxed, social atmosphere on the water. Shuttle transportation will be provided to and from the resort.

Networking Lunch

1:30 - 3:30 PM

Join us to reconvene at Lulio and enjoy a perfectly coastal California afternoon overlooking the Santa Barbara bluffs.

FAQ’s

If you have to cancel your trip, please send a notice of cancellation to the Risk Exchange team no later than Friday, May 1, 2026.

We recommend business casual for our general session and meals, and we leave it up to your discretion for outdoor activities. Please remember the average high temperatures are in the mid-70s, while the average low temperatures are in the mid-50s, with 11 hours of daily sunshine. Please bring comfortable shoes, a light jacket and umbrella (optional).
