Perched on a picturesque bluff between the Pacific and the Santa Ynez Mountains is Santa Barbara’s most iconic coastal resort village, The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara. This newly renovated oceanfront escape blends classic hacienda style and natural beauty with a laid-back California spirit. From sunrise to sunset, whether exploring the beaches and trails or relaxing in the infinity pools and expansive spa, there’s something to savor in every moment and every season at this Santa Barbara luxury hotel.

We must receive your reservation by Friday, February 6, 2026. After this date, we are unable to guarantee room availability. Room reservations will be made for all attendees based on the arrival and departure dates submitted during registration. The standard room rate at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is $480 per night, plus a 12% fee, 2.3% daily tax, and a $35 resort fee (plus tax). Upon check-in, the hotel will ask you to provide a credit/debit card for your room plus tax, fees, and any personal charges or incidentals. Please contact the Emerging Tech Exchange team with any questions or changes to your reservation.

Air & Ground Transportation

Participants are responsible for air and ground transportation to and from The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara. Please plan to arrive at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, by Wednesday, March 4th by 1:00 pm PT to check in, pick up registration materials, and kick off the program at 2:00 PM. Registration opens at 11:00 am PT. We’ll end our time together with some afternoon networking activities on Friday, March 6!

Please note: The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara is approximately 7 miles from Santa Barbara Municipal Airport (SBA). We strongly encourage you to fly into SBA. You may also fly into LAX (approximately 110 miles from the resort).

Parking

The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara offers valet parking. Valet parking is the only on-resort parking option. The Emerging Tech Exchange has a discounted parking rate of $35 per day, per vehicle.

Fees

Participants are responsible for their hotel accommodations, airfare, and ground transportation to and from the resort. The Emerging Tech Exchange program will cover all sponsored meals and program materials. There is no conference fee to attend.

Networking activities

Guest only activity: The Future of Wellness: A Tech-Enhanced Spa Experience

While our mainstage explores the future of business and technology, this curated guest experience invites spouses and significant others to unwind through the lens of innovation. Set within the serene surroundings of the The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara spa, The Future of Wellness blends relaxation with next-gen therapies—from red light masks and VR-guided meditation to robotic massage chairs and bio-boosting treatments.

This is not your typical spa experience. Guests will explore how emerging technologies are being used to enhance rest, recovery, and overall well-being in immersive, hands-on ways. Come for the indulgence, stay for the insight—and leave feeling recharged, renewed, and inspired. Timing and details forthcoming.

Pickleball

Time: 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Grab your paddle and bring your game face—whether you’re a newbie or a seasoned pro, join us for a high-energy pickleball session that’s fast-paced, inclusive, and full of fun. We’re serving up smashes, dinks, and friendly rallies to kick off the program in style!

Eco Hike

Time: 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Discover the beauty surrounding the resort and explore the natural environment of Gaviota Coast under the tutelage of Naturalists. Join in a guided nature tour that celebrates the vibrant endemic plants of Santa Barbara, while learning about the history of Chumash Native Americans and the Channel Islands.

Sound bath & Sea Salt Scrub

Time: 3:30 – 5:00 PM

Experience the power to rest, restore, and renew with a tranquil sound bath designed to harmonize your energy through therapeutic sound waves. This immersive journey fosters healing, mindfulness, and a deep sense of calm.

Following the sound bath, continue your wellness experience by creating your own custom Bacara sea salt scrub. Using locally inspired ingredients and scents that reflect the natural beauty of the property’s flora and fauna, you'll craft a blend that you can take home or enjoy after the session for the ultimate mind-and-body detox.

Golf at Sandpiper Golf Club

Time: Tee times beginning at 1:00 PM

An inspiring combination of challenge and beauty as championship golf brings you to the edge of the Pacific Ocean. With breathtaking ocean and mountain views from every hole, Sandpiper is truly a memorable experience. It was designed by William F. Bell and opened in 1972 featuring beautiful rolling fairways and challenging greens in a seaside links style layout. Sandpiper's dynamic design attracts players of all skill levels, including players of the highest caliber.

Coastal Catamaran Marine Tour

Time: 2:00 pm- 5:30 PM

Did you know Southern California has the largest dolphin population than anywhere in the world?! On this excursion, get up close and personal with them…and possibly whales too! The local area is home to over 30 different species of whales, dolphins, seals and sea lions that visit throughout the year, making these waters some of the most consistent locations found anywhere to view a variety of marine mammals. This activity takes guests out into the Pacific Ocean via a private catamaran to take in the American Riviera by sea with a full galley on board.

Urban wine tour: Santa Barbara’s Funk Zone

Time: 2:00 pm – 6:00 PM

Immerse yourself in a journey through Santa Barbara’s most dynamic neighborhood—The Funk Zone. Once an industrial warehouse district, this vibrant area has evolved into a cultural and culinary hotspot, renowned for its cutting-edge art, boutique wineries, and coastal charm. The experience includes private wine tastings with celebrated Santa Barabara wineries complemented by small artisanal plates. This elegant setting provides the perfect opportunity for relaxed conversation amid the district’s stylish ambiance.

If you have to cancel your trip, please send a notice of cancellation to the Emerging Tech Exchange no later than Friday, February 6, 2026.

We recommend business casual for our general session and meals, and we leave it up to your discretion for outdoor activities. Please remember the average high temperatures are in the high-60s, while the average low temperatures are in the mid-40s, with 8 hours of daily sunshine. Please bring comfortable shoes, a light jacket, and umbrella (optional).
