2020 Emerging Tech Exchange at the AT&T Pro-Am

Humanizing the autonomous enterprise

February 5-9, 2020 | Carmel Valley Ranch, Carmel, CA

Humanizing the autonomous enterprise

The Emerging Tech Exchange at the AT&T Pro-Am 2020 hosts senior business leaders charged with successfully transforming their organizations using the right combination of people and technology. At this Emerging Tech Exchange on “humanizing the autonomous enterprise,” we’ll explore how to integrate new and existing technologies seamlessly into our businesses and lives, and how they can amplify our strengths and humanity.

New PwC research covering hopes and fears around automation and technologies revealed that people believe technology will change their day-to-day jobs for the better and many are hopeful it will help them get more done and lead to better career opportunities. As business leaders, how do we harness the best technology has to offer to enhance our workforce and productivity? How do we scale new technologies and upskill our workforces along the way?

Our agenda will include insightful thought leaders, discussion partners and hands on experiences to help you develop the knowledge and the network to guide your business into the future.

AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am

One of the most exciting events on the PGA TOUR, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am pairs top golf professionals with Hollywood celebrities and professional athletes. The action unfolds on three of the Monterey Peninsula’s premier golf courses — Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill Golf Course and the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club — with all tournament proceeds benefiting Monterey Bay charities. Since 1947, the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am has culminated with a final round on Pebble Beach Golf Links, consistently ranked by Golf Digest as the greatest public golf course in America.

We welcome you and your guest to join us at PwC’s exclusive hospitality tent at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am on the 18th green Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Transportation will be provided to and from Carmel Valley Ranch to the courses.

Logistics and details

Carmel Valley extends from the coastal village of Carmel-by-the-Sea into the heart of the Santa Lucia Mountains. Carmel Valley Ranch has been a favorite getaway spot for decades. Where else can you play 18 holes of world-class golf, access hundreds of miles of hiking trails, wander around an organic garden, learn about honey bees in an apiary, explore vineyard terroir, enjoy mountain-top yoga, and then relax by your choice of pools—all within walking distance of your room.

PwC will book your reservation based on the arrival/departure dates you provide when you register for the Exchange. We have a room rate at Carmel Valley Ranch of $390 per night + $30 resort fee + tax. All rooms are nonsmoking and both king and double bed categories are available. Check-in occurs after 4 pm and check-out is 12 pm. A credit card will be requested to hold your room and you will be charged for one night’s stay ($390/night + $30.00 daily resort fee + tax) on January 17, 2020. If you need to cancel your participation at the Exchange, please do so by January 24, 2020 to avoid any penalties.

Participants purchase their own air and ground transportation to and from Carmel Valley Ranch. Please allow at least 25 minutes for travel to/from Monterey, 90 minutes for San Jose and 2-3 hours for San Francisco, depending on traffic. Please email flight itineraries to the Exchange team or enter on the registration form so we can prepare for your arrival.

Due to the high cost of car service, we suggest you rent a car, uber of use the car provider of your choice. Sedan transfers costs are:
*$246 from Monterey Regional Airport (MRY)
*$332 from San Jose Airport (SJC)
*$450 from San Francisco Airport (SFO)

All ground transportation pricing includes tax, gratuity and fuel surcharges. You can make ground transportation reservations 48 hours in advance by contacting Carey International at (800) 223-9817 or events@carey.com. **When calling or emailing Carey International, please be sure to share the Event ID: 160961 PwC AT&T Pro Am 2020. You are welcome to use your own transportation company to make arrangements.

If you are driving or renting a car, Carmel Valley Ranch provides parking for guests at the lodge and at individual guest rooms. Parking is not available at the AT&T Pro-AM but PwC will provide round-trip shuttle service to/from the course.

The weather in Carmel is usually sunny and warm during the day, but can be chilly at night. Average temperatures range from the mid to high 60s during the day to the 50s at night. Temperatures on the coast can also range from very warm and sunny to overcast with a cool breeze - we recommend packing layers.

We suggest business casual attire for the general session as well as most meal functions. We recommend you bring a light sweater or jacket for the meeting room. Also plan to bring comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunglasses for golf viewing. Because of the spectacular scenery, you may also want to pack a camera.

Cost to attend the Emerging Tech Exchange:
Participants pay for their hotel room charges, airfare, and ground transportation to and from the resort. All sponsored meals, recreation, and program materials are covered by the Exchange program. There is no conference fee to attend the Exchange.

Meeting cancellation:
If you have to cancel your trip, please send a notice of cancellation by January 25 to Krista Aman or via phone at 214-929-6447.

We welcome spouses and significant others to join in most sponsored recreation and meal functions as well as attending the AT&T Pro-Am. Children are not invited to this program.

Arrival and departure times:
Please plan to arrive at Carmel Valley Ranch by Wednesday, February 5, at 6 pm for the official start of the Emerging Tech Exchange, which kicks off with registration and an opening reception. The business program ends on Friday at noon and the remainder of the weekend will include activities, networking and viewing of the AT&T Pro Am on the 18th green as well as access to all 3 courses included in the tournament. If you have any tournament/ticket questions, please contact Krista Aman or via phone at (214) 929 6447.

It’s playable for group outings and challenging enough for serious competition.
