PwC Celebrates Employee Success with 16,500+ Promotion in FY23

Despite a complex economic landscape, PwC promoted more of our people this year than last

The driving force in our firm’s ability to bring The New Equation to life throughout the past fiscal year (FY23) relied on our greatest asset: our people. Despite the challenging market conditions, our 65,000+ employees doubled down to support our firm's goal of making itself faster, better and stronger and allowed us to spend time where it matters most—working with clients and investing in our people. We are proud to have promoted 16,500+ people.

The hardwork and dedication of our employees enabled us to promote more individuals than last year, even with the economic headwinds we faced. This underpins our unwavering commitment to investing in and recognizing the incredible accomplishments of our people. 

“Our people are the heartbeat of our firm,” said Tim Ryan, U.S. Chair and Senior Partner. “Their unique talent, skills and perspectives help us build trust and deliver sustained outcomes for our clients, our firm, our communities and each other,” he added. 

Promotion Day is one of the favorite days on the PwC calendar because it is all about our people–and celebrating their milestone achievements over the past year. To commemorate FY23 Promotion Day, thousands of PwC employees gathered in-person at celebrations across the US, Mexico and our Acceleration Centers at professional sports stadiums, theme parks, concert venues and many other amazing locations.

Additionally, because of the dedication and commitment of our employees this past year, the firm was able to provide raises and bonuses, conduct two week-long firmwide shutdowns and announce a $1 billion investment over the next three years to expand and scale AI capabilities to further the development of and upskill our people.
