With a growing bench of tax policy specialists, PwC underscores its commitment to advising organizations through an evolving legislative and regulatory environment

PwC announced today the addition of Beth Bell as a principal in its Washington National Tax Services practice. Beth will advise clients on a wide range of domestic and international tax policy and technical matters, bringing deep insights from her extensive experience on Capitol Hill and at the U.S. Department of the Treasury.

Beth most recently served as a Senior Advisor at the U.S. Department of the Treasury, where she provided counsel to both the Biden and Trump administrations on federal tax policy, regulatory implementation and international tax negotiations. She previously served as Tax Counsel on the House Committee on Ways and Means under then Chairman Neal (D-MA) and as Tax Counsel to Senator Ben Cardin (D-MD), a member of the Senate Finance Committee.

“I’m excited to join PwC’s Tax practice and to work alongside such talented professionals to help clients navigate the fast-changing tax policy environment,” Bell said. “This is an exciting opportunity to bring my prior experience together with PwC’s deep technical expertise to guide organizations through legislative, regulatory and international tax developments during an era of constantly evolving policy changes.”

Her addition comes at a pivotal moment, as businesses navigate heightened complexity stemming from the recently enacted One Big Beautiful Bill Act—which introduced significant tax changes and regulatory updates—as well as ongoing global tax negotiations that could further reshape cross-border tax landscapes.

"Beth brings a rare blend of deep policy insight and practical experience that will add tremendous value to our Washington National Tax Services team,” said Krishnan Chandrasekhar, PwC US Tax Leader. “Her ability to translate complex tax policy into actionable guidance, combined with her deep insight into the broader legislative and regulatory landscape, strengthens our ability to provide clients with the clarity and insights they need to maximize opportunities and mitigate risks.”

Beth’s arrival continues a strong momentum of additions to PwC’s Washington National Tax Services (WNTS) practice, where the firm has welcomed several highly regarded professionals over the past two years to help clients address complex tax issues, such as energy transition, tax controversy matters, mergers and acquisitions, industry-specific challenges and more. Other additions to the WNTS team include:

  • Isabel Barbosa, International Tax Services
  • Jennifer Bernardini, STS Federal Tax Services Energy Transition
  • Monalissa Cairncross, Transfer Pricing
  • Nikole Flax, Tax Controversy & Reporting Services
  • Alexis MacIvor, Insurance
  • Deb Palacheck, Tax Controversy & Reporting Services
  • Laura Williams, International Tax Services
  • Brett York, M&A (Corporate Taxation)

Colin Campbell, M&A (Corporate Taxation), and Sarah Haradon, M&A (Partnership Taxation), will join before the end of the year with more anticipated in the coming months.

Our tax policy team draws on experience from both sides of the aisle, shaped by service across Democratic and Republican administrations, underscoring PwC’s commitment to building a leading practice with broad insights and diverse capabilities to support clients navigating an increasingly dynamic tax landscape.
