Our engagement with qualified suppliers supports local communities by helping expand access to opportunities through our supplier network. We focus on working with a broad range of businesses, including small businesses, to build strong relationships that encourage participation and growth. The impact our firm can have when we award a contract to a supplier can help create economic opportunities and support resilient, prosperous communities.
Building supplier relationships that deliver for our business and communities
Relationships are important. We engage with external organizations and national councils that work to advance broad change in support of economic opportunity and help build new supplier relationships. Additionally, our supplier strategy includes steps to support the growth and development of a broad range of businesses through education and investments in upskilling opportunities.
We are sponsoring a third cohort of a supplier development program for small businesses, administered by a third-party, offering skill-building and supporting the development of potential new supplier relationships. In parallel with these efforts, we also remain focused on helping our supplier network operate in a sustainable way.
Operating sustainably
Just as we are engaging stakeholders throughout our supply chain to help them meet the needs of working with a large organization like PwC, we also encourage them to reduce their environmental impacts. This work is critical, as our large supplier network spans the globe and has wide-reaching impacts that extend beyond the impact of our own operations.
