Veterans Affinity Network
PwC is a firm that values leaders that possess a broad set of skills, which is why we established our Veterans Affinity Network (VAN) to help harness the unique talents and capabilities of all our individuals who have served in the U.S. military. Through VAN, we support the recruitment and retention of talented individuals who answered the call to serve our country — including veterans, service members, military reservists and members of the National Guard – as well as others, such as military spouses, children, caregivers of service-disabled veterans, and other allies. Once these individuals join our firm, we provide a distinctive PwC experience which includes a community of support and opportunities to leverage the unique leadership skills obtained during their military service.
PwC's VAN comes together with ideas and strategies to facilitate the professional and personal development of former military talent through a variety of career enhancing opportunities, support networks, and educational services. By bringing together people with uniquely similar backgrounds, the VAN will help transition the skills you gained in the military into a successful career at PwC. The VAN focuses on five main areas of engagement: Recruiting, Outreach & Networking, Education, Mentorship, and Family Readiness.
Meet Some of Our Veterans
What makes PwC distinctive for you?
“PwC works across a wide range of industries for some of the nation’s largest companies, but our culture of teamwork through small groups of high-performing professionals is something I immediately understood as a former service member. My time spent in the military is valued here and there’s an overarching belief that your experience counts.”
- Ron Ray, Medal of Honor recipient and PwC Advisory Managing Director
Why did you choose to work at PwC?
"I chose to start my career with PwC because they truly value the growth and success of their staff. As transitioning military personnel, you are immediately set up with a professional development group consisting of a peer host, team coach/mentor, a Veteran mentor, and a relationship partner. These individuals genuinely care for your success in the firm and are in place to assist you with the transition from the military, while promoting your growth within the firm. It's comforting to know that you can contact anyone in the firm and they will proudly help you with any issues you may have. PwC is invested in their staff and they provide that everyone has the proper support needed to grow personally and professionally."
- LaTesha Ford, PwC Advisory Senior Associate
What was one piece of advice you wished the recruiter had given you during your transition from active duty to life at PwC?
"The one piece of advice I wish the recruiter had given me during my transition was to remind me how supportive the PwC family is of transitioning military personnel. The move from military to civilian lifestyle is not as simple as we all initially believe, and sometimes involves complex situations requiring flexibility. PwC understands and respects the issues you will confront and is there to support you in whatever capacity you desire."
- Geoffrey Kintzer, PwC Advisory Manager
