Scott brings more than 20 years of operating experience to PwC’s Deals Strategy. He is an accomplished CEO, entrepreneur, consultant and board director with a strong track record in public and private companies. His experience centers on SaaS-based marketing technology, data strategy, media and digital transformation. Scott has led numerous growth strategy efforts, executed buy-side and sell-side M&A deals and built company operations across the US, EU and China. He joined PwC from his own consulting practice, Glenview James LLC where he worked on M&A transactions and digital transformation for leading Private Equity funds, Private and Public companies and not-for-profits.

Prior to PwC, Scott founded and served as CEO of two software companies: Evidon and Ghostery. The companies were backed by Warburg Pincus, where he was an Entrepreneur-in-Residence. The investment culminated in two separate, all-cash transactions in 2017 delivering a positive return to shareholders.

Scott spent 8 years at The New York Times Co. He served as CEO of About.com during its hyper growth period, reaching $100 million in revenues. Scott was also the General Manager of NYTimes.com. His technology career began at Multex, which was acquired by Reuters after an IPO. Scott also worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch & Co. and at The Boston Consulting Group.

A graduate of Brown University and Harvard Business School, Scott is Chairman of Brown University’s Alumni Communications Advisory Council. He also serves on Brown’s Corporation Committee on Communications, Alumni and External Affairs and was the acting Chief Digital Advisor to the President. Scott is a Director of Code Nation, a non-profit that teaches coding skills in under-resourced schools in NY, SF and Chicago.
