Charles Del Toro is a partner in PwC’s International Tax/Venture Capital group in San Jose. Charles has over 15 years of experience in international taxation acquired in France, Luxembourg and the U.S. Charles has extensive experience consulting U.S. based asset management clients on U.S. and foreign tax planning for global operations. Throughout his career, Charles has worked with a broad variety of financial services firms including investment managers, private equity funds, venture capital funds, hedge funds and real estate funds and has significant experience advising them on efficient acquisition structures, structuring of investment advisory activities, refinancing, syndication of their investments exit/partial exit schemes and investments in complex financial instruments. Charles currently specializes in the venture capital industry. He serves many U.S. and foreign venture capital firms and assists them with their foreign investments, U.S. international tax compliance matters and global operations.
Charles has a master's degree in business and tax law from the University of Cergy-Pontoise (France) and a post-graduate degree in corporate taxation from the Lille Business School (France). Charles also holds a certification in Luxembourg tax law from the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce (Luxembourg). Charles was previously leading the Luxembourg tax desk of PwC in New York.
