The new managed security service from PwC can deliver AI-enabled threat detection and response with simplified operations and predictable pricing.

PwC today announced the launch of its unified detection and response managed security service, enabled by Google Security Operations, designed to help organizations strengthen cybersecurity, reduce operational complexity, and scale protection in an increasingly dynamic threat landscape.

The announcement builds on PwC’s recently announced collaboration agreement with Google Cloud to help organizations transform their security practices with AI-driven capabilities. PwC is also the winner of the 2026 Google Cloud Partner of the Year Award in the Global Security category, underscoring its continued investment in delivering leading cyber outcomes for clients.

PwC’s unified detection and response service brings together threat detection and response, vulnerability management, incident response, and penetration testing into a single, standardized managed service.  Delivered using Google’s Security Operations platform, this service enables continuous monitoring and response while leveraging automation, AI, and agentic-driven workflows to improve speed, consistency, and cost-efficiency.

“Organizations are under pressure to modernize their security operations while managing cost and complexity,” said Tim Canonico, Global Managed Services Leader, PwC US. “With unified detection and response, we’re delivering enterprise-grade cyber defense through a simplified, affordable, scalable model—combining PwC’s cyber expertise with Google Cloud’s advanced security operations platform.”

Unlike traditional managed security models that rely on large, centralized teams and highly customized deployments, our unified detection and response service is built on a standardized, multitenant architecture with client-specific instances and data segregation. This approach combines the consistency and cost-efficiency of a standardized service with a more tailored client experience—supported by smaller, dedicated teams rather than large-scale analyst pools.

The service can be deployed in as little as 30 days, compared to traditional models that often take months to implement. This model enables organizations to access advanced AI-driven security operations capabilities without the significant upfront investment in technology and specialized talent typically required.

With this standardized approach, organizations can achieve lower total cost of ownership compared to traditional managed security services, while benefiting from consistent, high-quality service delivery.

Key features of PwC’s unified detection and response offering include:

  • Real-time security operations: Continuous monitoring, detection, and response to help identify and address threats quickly and consistently

  • Integrated cyber capabilities: Threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and penetration testing in a single service

  • AI-enabled efficiency: Automation and intelligence that help reduce alert noise and prioritize the most critical risks

  • Scalable, predictable delivery: Tiered, per-asset pricing designed to simplify planning and reduce cost variability

  • Flexible integration: Ability to ingest data from a wide range of existing security tools and environments

The service also includes built-in resilience capabilities, including integrated incident response support and regular penetration testing, helping organizations proactively identify and respond to evolving threats.

“Strong security is the foundation for business resiliency and innovation,” said Kevin Ichhpurani, President, Global Partner Ecosystem, Google Cloud. "Together, we're providing organizations with the agentic-driven workflows needed to simplify complex cyber operations. This unified service, recognized by PwC’s Partner of the Year award, ensures that AI finds threats and automates the reasoning required to respond to them at scale.”

This launch represents the next step in PwC and Google Cloud’s broader alliance, focused on helping clients build secure, AI-enabled enterprises and respond to evolving cyber threats with confidence.
