Collaboration combines PwC’s Managed Services expertise with AWS AI, data, and cloud services to modernize delivery, enhance client outcomes, and reimagine how healthcare organizations manage their revenue cycles.

AI-powered solution running on AWS can reduce administrative burden in healthcare billing and processing, helping organizations address labor shortages while improving healthcare outcomes.

New York, NY — Today, PwC announced a strategic collaboration with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to transform how healthcare organizations manage and enhance their revenue cycle operations. The initiative will make PwC’s Revenue Cycle Managed Services available on AWS, and together the two companies will build new AI agents and tools that can help healthcare organizations improve financial performance, streamline operations, and enhance the patient financial experience.

“Our collaboration with AWS addresses a critical industry challenge: healthcare organizations are drowning in fragmented systems that create friction instead of resolution," said Tim Canonico, PwC Global & US Managed Services Leader. “By running our Revenue Cycle Managed Services on AWS, we're able to harness Amazon Bedrock's model choice capabilities to deploy the right AI foundation models for each client's unique revenue cycle challenges. The combination of PwC's operational expertise with AWS's advanced AI services can help organizations reduce administrative burden in healthcare financing and billing and focus more resources on improving patient care and healthcare outcomes."

PwC's Revenue Cycle Managed Services helps healthcare organizations manage the complex financial processes of patient billing, insurance claims, denial prevention, collections, and reimbursements through technology-enabled, outcome-based delivery. By running on AWS, the solution benefits from secure, scalable cloud infrastructure while providing real-time insights, automating manual processes, and enhancing workforce performance.

The collaboration enables PwC to leverage AWS services—including Amazon Connect, AWS HealthLake, and Amazon Bedrock—to deploy advanced AI agents powered by model choice capabilities. This allows clients to select the right foundation models for their specific revenue cycle challenges, delivering a smarter, faster, and more adaptive solution that addresses labor shortages, reimbursement pressures, and rising technology costs while reducing administrative burden.

This collaboration represents a significant step in PwC’s Managed Services growth strategy, focused on redefining how business outcomes are achieved through AI-driven innovation that combines people, technology, and data.
