Through My Milestone Rewards, PwC continues to recognize career milestones with flexibility and personalization, giving PwCers the space to celebrate in ways that feel meaningful to them.
Available to employees in the US and Mexico, the tenure-based program allows individuals to choose how they celebrate their milestones. Whether through purpose-driven or well-being experiences, additional time away, or cash, My Milestone Rewards allows our people to choose what matters most at different stages of their careers.
Since launching in July 2024, PwC has invested more than $52 million in milestone rewards, engaging more than 15,000 employees across the firm—while continuing to expand the program with new destinations and offerings.
Our people are using the program in different ways, reflecting a broader shift we’re seeing on how priorities are evolving around time, connection, and personal growth alongside personal achievement.
Preetha Balakrishnan, a Senior Manager in Advisory, selected a purpose-driven experience in Peru, where her milestone became a moment of reflection, cultural exchange, and shared meaning with her daughter.
“In Peru’s Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, I saw how purpose comes to life within communities, from learning with artisans in Maras and agricultural innovators like the ‘Potato Whisperer,’ to supporting youth education and walking alongside the Llama Pack Project team. In the Andean village of Ccorccor, when villagers learned my daughter was a dancer, they invited her to perform Bhangra and watching that spontaneous cultural exchange at over 12,000 feet reminded me that purpose and connection transcend geography and language. I returned with renewed energy and gratitude for an organization that invests in experiences that inspire reflection and lasting impact.”
Hudson Walsh, a Manager in Advisory, opted for a wildlife conservation purpose experience in South Africa, combining meaningful travel with time alongside family and fellow PwC colleagues.
“Growing up in the Midwest, I understood that exploring the world is a privilege, so when the opportunity came through My Milestone Rewards, I wanted a meaningful cultural experience I could share with my family. South Africa gave us unforgettable safari adventures, time in Cape Town, and powerful moments in the bush where we witnessed both the challenges and the joy of the local communities. Shannon Groffie, a Manager in Business Services, used her milestone reward for a solo well-being experience in Austin, Texas, using the time to unplug, reflect, and reconnect with herself.
“My Milestone Reward took me to Miraval Austin for a solo well-being retreat, and it was exactly what I needed. Living in a city, slowing down never seems like an option. I went into the trip with real intention: to unplug, reflect, and reconnect with myself. For a few days, I stepped away from constant notifications and leaned into yoga classes, spa treatments, farm visits, and even an obstacle course that pushed me outside my comfort zone in the best way. I came back feeling refreshed, grounded, and genuinely re-energized. The experience reminded me how important it is to create space for yourself and invest in your well-being.”
Ann McKay, a Senior Manager in Tax, used her milestone reward to take additional time away, traveling through Italy with her husband.
“Through My Milestone Rewards, I was able to fully disconnect and spend two meaningful weeks traveling through Italy. From exploring the Vatican Museum, the Colosseum, Pompeii and the Doge’s Palace to taking hands-on cooking classes and visiting a silkworm breeding farm to learn about the art of silk-making, the experience was both enriching and restorative. Stepping away from my day-to-day allowed me to recharge, gain new perspective and return with renewed energy and appreciation for the opportunity to experience different cultures and history firsthand.”
