Jakarta, ID – AirNav Indonesia projects a 5% increase in air traffic movements during the 2025 Eid homecoming period, compared to the 2024 period.
The President Director of AirNav Indonesia, Capt. Avirianto Suratno, stated, "We project a 5% increase in flight traffic movements compared to 2024. The peak is expected to occur on 26 March for the outbound flow and on 6 April for the return flow," said Capt. Avi at a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday (25/03/2025).
Capt. Avi added that the Eid transportation command post period will be held from 21 March to 11 April 2025. To anticipate this surge, AirNav Indonesia has held meetings with the Ministry of Transportation, regulators, and the aviation community, including airport authorities, airlines, airport operators, BMKG, and other relevant agencies. "This step aims to ensure safety, operational efficiency, and innovation in air navigation services during the homecoming season," emphasised Capt. Avi.
Furthermore, according to Capt. "In addition, there is personnel support, flight slot flexibility, emergency procedure readiness, air command posts, and daily monitoring of HR readiness through applications," explained Capt. Avi.
He added that to monitor and ensure the security and orderliness of air transportation activities during the 2025 Eid homecoming period, AirNav Indonesia will operate command posts for 24 hours at 60 locations in AirNav branch offices spread across Indonesia. Meanwhile, for operations and HR, we are ready to operate 24 hours at several branches, following airport operational hours," concluded Capt. Avi.
