PwC’s Deals Practice Announces Three Winners of the 5th Annual M&A Advisor 40 Under 40 Recognition Awards

Leading M&A professionals recognized for accomplishments in the ‘service provider’ category

 

NEW YORK, NY, June 24, 2014 PwC US today announced that two partners and one principal in the firm’s Deals practice – Nick Donkar, Andrew Miller and Chris Rhodes – have been selected as winners by M&A Advisor for its 5th Annual 40 Under 40 Recognition Awards in the service provider category. This awards program recognizes leading M&A professionals who have reached a significant level of success while still under the age of 40 and Donkar, Miller and Rhodes have been chosen for their accomplishments and expertise from a pool of international nominees.

Winners of this year’s award will be honored today at a black tie Awards Gala at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan, in conjunction with the 2014 Emerging Leaders’ Summit - an event pairing 40 Under 40 winners together with their mentors and other stalwarts, to introduce the 40 Under 40 Award winners to the business community and celebrate their achievements. Nick Donkar is a Los Angeles-based partner in PwC's Deals practice, responsible for supporting health care companies primarily on the West Coast with their deal strategies. He has been front and center of the evolving healthcare industry with work cutting across provider, payer, device and pharmaceuticals with the firm’s highest profile corporate and private equity clients. During his tenure at PwC, Donkar has supported more than 300 domestic and international transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures, carve-outs and corporate finance transactions (100+ deals in the healthcare sector). In addition, he routinely supports national discussions on many aspects of healthcare including hospitals, dialysis facilities, medical devices, home health agencies and more. Donkar received his BBA in Finance from the Goizueta Business School of Emory University and his MBA from University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business.

Andrew Miller is a Chicago-based principal in PwC's Deals practice and the Deals leader for the Missouri/Kansas market, specializing in advising private equity and corporate clients on complex business and transaction issues including buyside investments, divestitures, carve-outs, joint ventures, restructurings and integrations. With a current client base spanning across F1000 multinational companies and some of the world’s most recognized private equity firms, Miller has led a number of challenging transactions including domestic and multi-national acquisitions ranging in size from $10 million to over $10 billion. He is skilled in executing large, transformational transactions throughout all the major markets and, in the last 18 months alone, he has led transactions in the U.S., Brazil, Chile, China, Japan, India, Western Europe, Russia, Ukraine, Vietnam and Africa. His expertise includes diverse industry background in food supply chain, pharmaceuticals, and consumer and retail, among others. Miller received his MBA in Finance from the University of Manchester.

Chris Rhodes is a New York-based partner in PwC's Deals practice. He provides clients pursuing transactions with critical insight on their strategies, structures, financials and accounting matters to help them increase the value of their deals. Rhodes has strategic deals experience, engaging clients on acquisitions, divestitures, and joint ventures along with capital restructuring and corporate finance. He is responsible for managing large, complex deals for some of the firm’s largest clients and in his time with PwC, has been involved in over 100, one billion dollar plus deals, across a variety of industries, serving mostly non-financial services clients. Rhodes received his BS in Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
