This was stated by the President after a bilateral meeting with United Nations (UN) Secretary-General Antonio Guterres in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on Sunday (17/11).

“The UN Secretary-General greatly appreciates Indonesia’s stance on various issues, especially regarding climate change. Indonesia strongly supports efforts to reduce carbon emissions. Indonesia has the will, a plan, and the capability to transition towards renewable energy,” President Prabowo said in his statement.

President Prabowo also explained that Indonesia has great potential in green energy development, including geothermal, hydro, solar, and bioenergy. President Prabowo appreciates the support of the UN Secretary-General for the steps that have been taken by Indonesia.
