September 29, 2020

“At the core of PwC's SAP transformation services is its unique "Business, eXperience, and Technology" (BxT) methodology”

PwC has been named as a Leader in the IDC MarketScape: Asia/Pacific SAP Implementation Services Vendor Assessment, 2020 (September 2020, IDC #AP46211320). For decades, SAP applications have enjoyed the unique position as an enabler of line-of-business (LOB) transformation by breaking down silos and fundamentally improving process controls. Over the years, SAP has evangelized its vision of creating "Intelligent Enterprises" and added multiple products to its portfolio of offerings to help customers progress in the Intelligent Enterprise journey

According to the report, “There is a strong breadth and depth in SAP services. Among all the measurement criteria, SAP implementation vendors performed well in terms of capabilities, suggesting that most participants had mature SAP practices and provided a broad range of services. We found that some vendors were able to go further by translating this strength as a foundation to capture new opportunities in Asia/Pacific.”

The IDC MarketScape also notes, “PwC has pivoted its focus in Asia/Pacific entirely to SAP's next-generation offerings, especially around the implementation of S/4HANA and C/4HANA solutions. PwC's go to market (GTM) approach for SAP services in Asia/Pacific is led by a host of integrated transformation solutions across line-of-business (LOB) domains, wrapped around deep industry and technology expertise. At the core of PwC's SAP transformation services is its unique "Business, eXperience, and Technology" (BxT) methodology, a design thinking approach positioned at the initial phase of the engagement and embedded throughout the implementation life cycle as an enabler of triggering better business outcomes for the client.”

Arnab Basu, Advisory Leader, PwC India said: “PwC is focused on delivering actionable, sustainable results for our clients.  Our experienced teams bring the right blend of industry, process and technology skills enabling us to integrate industry-specific business-process insight with deep technical knowledge of SAP solutions. Our clients can count on us to provide comprehensive consulting, business integration and implementation services across multiple SAP applications, products and technologies.”

Commenting on PwC’s strengths, the report states, “Strong Focus in User-Centric Design.  PwC's clients will benefit from its strong focus in fostering close collaboration with end users during SAP implementations enabled by its BXT approach. Clients interviewed by IDC found this approach to be quite useful in setting the tone and guidelines of how the implementation project needs to be conducted. Additionally, this approach has helped PwC work closely with the client to identify key transformational areas within the clients’ business process to maximize value from SAP investments.”

With regards to PwC’s breadth of capabilities, the IDC MarketScape says, “PwC draws its strength from a strong portfolio of business strategy offerings around finance, supply chain, HR, sales and marketing, maintenance and asset management, and source to pay, making it well positioned for large LOB transformation projects with SAP as the technology core. Additionally, PwC's flexibility to adopt innovative deal structures and pricing solutions aligned with client issues and demographics is also quite useful for clients looking to drive maximum value from the engagements. Clients interviewed by IDC praised PwC's project management capabilities, quality of SAP resources, and ability to understand the scope of the implementation project. In general, PwC performed strongly in essential capabilities, local versus global resource deployment for SAP projects, and strategy for geographical growth in SAP services.”

Ken Brown, Lead Partner, SAP Services, PwC Australia said: “We are delighted to be named a leader in this IDC MarketScape.  PwC is proud to help our clients to solve their most important problems, drive operational excellence and achieve their digital ambitions with the power of SAP solutions.
