The aerospace & defense industry reported lower revenues and sharply lower profits in 2015 compared with 2014, ending a run of five consecutive years of record revenue and operating profit. The decline was largely due to the impairment and restructuring charges at two companies and the impact of the strong U.S. dollar on translation of results for non-U.S. companies. Following five consecutive years of record results, the overall health of the industry still remains strong and is poised for moderate growth in 2016.
