The New Equation - Bringing together unique combinations of capabilities to help build trust and deliver sustained outcomes

Eddy Rintis Senior Partner, PwC Indonesia 28 October, 2021

A few years ago, no one could have imagined how much the world would change. In Indonesia, we see unprecedented social, economic, and geopolitical disruption, especially with the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to wreak havoc globally. The past year has highlighted the challenge of crisis management is not about predicting the future but dealing with the unpredictable in the most efficient and effective ways.

Consequently, it is more important than ever to respond to the most ever-changing disruptive times like nowadays. Resilience, innovation, and commitment are proven to be underpinning factors to keep striving no matter what comes next. At PwC, we are uniquely positioned to provide the right combination of capabilities.

At PwC, we’ve thought about how we can best help clients meet new challenges in new ways. After analysing the forces facing the world and speaking with thousands of clients and stakeholders, we identified two fundamental and interconnected needs facing organisations of all kinds; the need to build trust and deliver sustained outcomes.

Firstly, organisations increasingly need to earn trust across a wide range of topics that are important to their stakeholders. Success depends on fundamental shifts in the way executives think, organisational culture, systems and ambition. Secondly, businesses need to change faster and more thoroughly to attract capital, talent and customers. Too often, however, narrowly conceived transformation initiatives do not deliver the outcomes they promise. A new approach is needed.

This is what we call The New Equation.

By bringing together multidisciplinary teams, powered by technology and drawing on deep specialist expertise – from ESG and audit to value creation and tax transformation – we can help clients meet the expectations of their shareholders, stakeholders and society.
