Jakarta - PT Adhi Karya Tbk continuously hunts for new contracts from several project tenders this year. The SOE (State-owned Enterprise) construction issuer is targeting new contracts worth Rp24 trillion throughout 2021.

PT Adhi Karya Tbk Human Capital and System Director, Agus Karianto, believes that his company can secure new contracts worth at least Rp24 trillion or 20% more new contracts from last year.

“We are still optimistic and pursuing tenders in the third and fourth quarters. We hope that the target can be achieved by the end of this year,” he revealed on Tuesday (25/5).

ADHI First Operations Director, Suko Widigdo, revealed that ADHI participated in several tenders, including Cikunir-Ulujami elevated toll segment (JORR Express) of Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) and CP202 of MRT project phase 2A.

ADHI also secured the contract to construct package 5A of Cileunyi-Sumedang-Dawuan (Cisumdawu) toll road. “This year, we are participating in a tender for JORR Express. We also hope that, this year, we will participate in the construction of JORR Express,” Suko mentioned.

ADHI also secured the contract to construct CP201 of the MRT project from HI Roundabout to Juanda. The current progress is at Thamrin-Sarinah Station, which will continue to Monas Station.

Meanwhile, regarding CP202 of the MRT project, ADHI has submitted the technical proposal last month. “It is currently in the negotiation stage to finish the commercial proposal. We hope that the negotiation result will be ready in June,” Adhi Karya Second Operations Director, Pundjung Setya Brata, revealed.

Overall, until April 2021, ADHI has secured new contracts worth Rp3.6 trillion (excluding tax). The achievement is equal to 15% of the Rp24 trillion target in 2021.

Besides domestic projects, Adhi Karya is targeting foreign projects, especially projects in Southeast Asia. This is ADHI’s long-term expansion strategy. Adhi Karya is currently participating in the tender for the railway commuter line project in the Philippines.

From the six construction packages offered, ADHI is targeting to at least secure one contract next year. “We are currently participating in [the tender] for six construction packages of the railway commuter line in the Philippines, which is Calamba Extension. The tender is this year. We are expecting to at least secure one contract next year in the railway sector in the Philippines in 2022,” Pundjung revealed.

The commuter line project that connects Manila to Calamba will use the elevated system. The tender winner will be announced at the end of 2021. This tender is set to increase ADHI’s foreign contract value to around Rp4 trillion in 2022.
