Investor Daily - OIKN seleksi ketat pengajuan surat minat investasi

4 March 2025

Investment interest in Nusantara Capital City (IKN) continues to grow and has not waned. This is evidenced by the various Letters of Intent (LoIs) from both domestic and foreign investors, which are currently undergoing a rigorous and credible evaluation process.

To date, the IKN Authority (OIKN) has received 536 LoIs from various business entities with a strong interest in developing infrastructure in Nusantara. Of these, more than 60% are from investors keen on building infrastructure, while the remainder are from suppliers, vendors, consultants, and other parties not classified as infrastructure investors.

A total of 140 investors interested in building infrastructure have completed the required data and are currently in the investment process through the Investara platform. Meanwhile, 190 other investors are still completing the necessary requirements and are in the verification stage.

In an effort to maintain investment quality, the OIKN implements a comprehensive evaluation process for investors interested in building in IKN. This evaluation aims to ensure that each incoming investment has both financial and operational readiness, enabling it to be realised on the ground.

The Deputy for Funding and Investment of the OIKN, Agung Wicaksono, explained that this selection process aims to enhance the quality of investment in IKN.

"We want to emphasise that the number of investors entering IKN is actually increasing. However, we are applying a more professional selection process to ensure that incoming investments are truly ready and can be realised on the ground. There is no decline in interest; in fact, there is an increase in interest with better selection," said Agung in a press release quoted in Jakarta, Monday (3/3/2025).

Currently, the IKN community has also benefited from several investment projects that have been running smoothly, such as the Swissotel Nusantara Hotel, Mayapada Hospital, and Hermina Hospital, all of which have been operational since 2024.

Several other investment projects will soon be operational, including the Qubika Hotel and Kampung Kecil Restaurant, which will help strengthen the tourism and culinary sectors.

In the transportation sector, Bluebird has constructed two bus stops out of a planned total of 15 stops to support the presence of environmentally friendly electric bus services, which have been serving visitors in IKN since 2024.
