Toll road association says toll road construction carried on amid the pandemic

Kontan.co.id – Jakarta. The Indonesian Toll Road Association (ATI) mentioned that toll road project constructions were still carried on amid the Covid-19 pandemic.

ATI Secretary General Krist Ade Sudiyono said that toll road projects in construction were still progressing excellently.

In line with the PUPR (Public Works and Public Housing) Ministry’s direction, all road project constructions can continue by implementing health protocols.

“[Toll road] constructions continue by prioritising the implementation of health protocols,” Ade said when he was contacted on Thursday (20/8).

Besides that, Ade continued that ATI was expected to keep continuing construction programs to empower the economic activities of citizens.

“So, citizens can still fulfil their daily economic needs,” he said.

BPJT (Toll Road Regulatory Agency) is targeting several toll segments to finish and operate by the end of 2020.

 

The additional toll segments that are set to operate by late 2020 are:

1. Sigli-Banda Aceh Toll Road Section 4 (Indrapuri-Blang Bintang) spanning 13.5 km

2. Manado-Bitung Toll Road Sections 1 and 2A (Airmadidi-Kauditan Segment) spanning 20.5 km

3. Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road Section 1A (Cimanggis-Jatikarya) spanning 3.17 km

4. Pekanbaru-Kandis-Dumai Toll Road Sections 1-6 (Pekanbaru-Dumai) spanning 131.4 km

5. Bogor Ring Road Section 3A (Yasmin-Kayu Manis Interchange) spanning 3 km

6. Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung Toll Road Section 1 Phase 1B (Jakabaring-Jalintim) spanning 9 km

7. Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road Section 1 (KM13-Samboja) and Section 5 (KM13-Seminggan) spanning 33 km

8. Krian-Legundi-Bunder-Manyar Toll Road Sections 1, 2, and 3 (Krian-Bunder) spanning 29 km

9. Cibitung-Cilincing Toll Road Section 1 (Cibitung-Gabus Indah) spanning 13.52 km

10. Ujung Pandan Toll Road Section 3 (AP Pettrani) spanning 4.3 km

11. Cinere-Serpong Toll Road Section 1 (SS Serpong-SS Pamulang) spanning 6.5 km

12. Cengkareng-Kunciran Toll Road spanning 14.19 km

13. Medan-Binjai Toll Road Section 1 Segments 1B-1D (Jl. Veteran-Tj Mulia) spanning 3.52 km

14. Sentul Selatan Interchange Toll Road

 

BPJT Head Danang Parikesit said that there were additional toll segments that had been finished and operated since early 2020 until the middle of August in 2020.

“38.8 km of toll road have operated since early 2020 until the middle of August 2020,” Danang said.

BPJT mentioned that the toll segments were Kayu Agung-Palembang-Betung Toll Road Section 1 Phase 1A spanning 29.39 km, Pandaan-Malang Toll Road Section 5 spanning 3.11 km, and Depok-Antasari Toll Road Section 2 (Brigif-Sawangan) spanning 6.3 km.
