This year as part of our Pride activities we’re launching our new global LGBT+ inclusion strategy with five key areas of strategic focus: 

  1. Senior leadership commitment and support

  2. Amplification and growth of our Shine inclusion networks

  3. Data and disclosure

  4. Education and awareness

  5. Role modeling, visibility and increasing representation 

We’re committed to cultivating an inclusive and compassionate culture and expanding the impact of Shine PwC’s LGBT+ community and ally inclusion network.

Ash Pandey (pronouns he/him), PwC Australia: “From the very first day I came to PwC, my buddy was a part of Shine, my manager was a part of Shine, so I just got roped in straight away and I’ve been in love with the network ever since.”

Text on Screen: Our Shine networks are about creating inclusive opportunities, nurturing local and global connections and fostering advocacy and allyship. 

Rob Sykes (pronouns he/him/ia), PwC Aotearoa (New Zealand): “If we lift up our rainbow people they’ll bring other people up with them as well.”

Text on Screen: We want our member firms to have access to LGBT+ expertise and strategy development resources so that together, with leadership commitment, we can advance our LGBT+ inclusion journey. 

Eduardo Machado (he/him), PwC Brazil: “To know that I have support from the network, and to meet people and to know more about the leadership and the plans for the future, and for the next steps. I guess that without this type of support it’s harder”

Text on Screen: Across the globe, our Shine inclusion networks are growing and we’ll continue to support their growth and amplify their efforts, through inspiring events like our second Global Shine Summit, hosted in March 2023. 

Adeola Adeyemi (pronouns she/her), PwC Australia: “What’s been the best part of the Shine Summit so far. It’s everything, it’s been the active support from leadership and it’s not just virtue signaling. It’s being present.
