  • Alberta - Public health restrictions renewed: The following measures, which were originally scheduled to be lifted on August 16, 2021, are extended until September 27, 2021: (i) the requirement to wear a face covering on public transit; (ii) mandatory isolation for those with COVID‑19 symptoms or a positive test result; and (iii) the availability of COVID‑19 tests for individuals with symptoms.

  • Nunavut - Travel restrictions renewed: Effective August 17, 2021, Nunavut will suspend its Common Travel Area with the Northwest Territories. Individuals in the Northwest Territories who are not fully‑vaccinated must isolate themselves at the designated isolation hub in Yellowknife for 14 days before travelling into Nunavut. Exceptions to this isolation requirement include vaccinated travellers with unvaccinated dependents 12 years or younger and critical workers with an authorized travel letter.
