Last year we held a webinar titled “The AI Act and How to Start with AI Literacy” at PwC Czech Republic. We focused on what this regulation means for various organisations and the steps they should take to achieve the desired AI literacy. Participants were guided through the key points of the regulation, roles, and responsibilities associated with artificial intelligence in organisations, and how to assess and implement necessary training. The webinar was led by Daniela Kidjemet Šolc, along with Lenka Michalcová from PwC Legal and Aneta Fortelková.
The AI Act came into effect on August 1, 2024, and its specific requirements are being implemented in the following months. One of the first requirements organisations will have to meet is ensuring sufficient literacy in the field of artificial intelligence for employees who operate or use AI systems. AI literacy will enable individuals to understand the legal requirements and opportunities that AI brings, and make informed decisions about its development and use.
The AI literacy requirement comes into effect in February 2025.
Training focused on AI literacy should be tailored to the risk and type of AI systems that the organisation works with, while also matching the specific roles and tasks of employees. Non-compliance with these requirements can lead to fines, which will vary depending on the severity of the non-compliance.
PwC Czech Republic offers comprehensive solutions for organisations that want to ensure AI literacy for their employees and meet the requirements of the new AI Act. Ready-made trainings are available, which can be delivered electronically or in person, and are specifically designed for providers and users of AI systems. In the future, we plan to expand our offer with e-learning modules.
For those who need training tailored to their specific needs, we offer the option of custom development. Training can thus be adapted to the specific types of artificial intelligence systems you create or use, and the industry in which you operate. These trainings are ideal for organisations working with high-risk AI systems and general AI models.
Additionally, we help organisations create a detailed training plan that includes identifying key roles and responsibilities, necessary materials, and communication strategies for long-term skill enhancement in AI. Our goal is to help you not only understand regulatory requirements but also effectively leverage the potential of artificial intelligence in your business.
Our ready-made trainings are designed to meet various organisational needs in AI literacy and compliance with the AI Act requirements:
In this training, we offer an overview of the AI Act and its requirements, providing participants with a clear understanding of the regulatory framework and guidance on practical compliance through proper risk management and procedures.
For executives, senior leadership and senior management in an organisation we have prepared training focused on leveraging AI, the AI Act, and innovations, which also includes key case studies and an overview of the basic requirements of the AI Act.
For users of AI systems, we offer training that helps them use AI safely and responsibly, including best practices and an overview of relevant requirements. These trainings are available in the form of workshops or e-learnings, allowing for a flexible approach to learning.
For technical teams, including developers and creators, we offer a series of workshops focused on the technical aspects of the AI Act, tailored to the specific needs of the client and the industry. These trainings are available on request.
