Leading through change. Building trust through quality

PwC Indonesia Transparency Report 2026 explains our approach to audit quality, from our System of Quality Management and professional culture to our people, technology, and ongoing monitoring. These areas help us maintain quality and build trust as expectations continue to evolve.

"At PwC Indonesia, we earn that trust through the quality of our work and the integrity of our people. Our purpose is to build trust in society and solve important problems. Quality is not the job of one team. It shows in the decisions our people make every day: questioning what they are told, testing it against evidence, and seeking advice when a matter is difficult."

Eddy Rintis, Territory Senior Partner, PwC Indonesia

As technology and artificial intelligence change how assurance work is performed, critical thinking, sound judgement and ethical decision-making become even more important. PwC Indonesia continues to invest in both its people and technology, helping teams respond to changing stakeholder needs without compromising quality.

A continued commitment to Assurance quality

Our Assurance leadership remains focused on independence, objectivity, and conclusions grounded in evidence. As we expand our use of technology, including AI, human oversight remains fundamental. Our people direct the technology, challenge its output, and interpret the results so that professional judgement remains at the centre of every conclusion.

"Quality shapes how we train our people, how we use technology and how we review and improve our work."

Jumadi Anggana, FY26 Territory Assurance Leader, PwC Indonesia

“Quality is the foundation of the trust placed in our work and of our long-term growth. We will continue to grow, but never at the expense of quality. That is our commitment to everyone who relies on us.”

Subianto, FY27 Territory Assurance Leader, PwC Indonesia

PwC Indonesia’s System of Quality Management supports the consistent delivery of quality engagements and is aligned with the International Standard on Quality Management 1 (ISQM 1). Through a continuous, objectives-based approach, we identify and respond to quality risks, monitor effectiveness and learn from our findings. For the year ended 30 June 2026, we concluded that our system provided reasonable assurance that the applicable quality objectives were being achieved, in line with ISQM 1 and Indonesia’s Standar Manajemen Mutu 1 (SMM 1).

PwC Indonesia monitors its System of Quality Management through ongoing and periodic reviews, including Real-Time Assurance and engagement inspections. In FY26, we conducted 44 Real-Time Reviews of audits in progress, totalling 3,946 hours. All 10 audit files inspected were compliant, and all five non-audit assurance files reviewed were also compliant. We use findings from our monitoring and inspections to identify areas for improvement and strengthen audit quality.
