PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) logged a new contract value of Rp13.38 trillion until October 2022, which increased by 15.54% compared to the new contract realisation in September 2022 that reached Rp11.58 trillion. Compared to last year that reached Rp12.09 trillion, the new contract realisation of the state-owned construction issuer until October this year grew 10.64%.

The source of the new contract realisation increase came from government projects by 68.19%, private projects 10.22%, state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and regional SOEs 9.57%, and subsidiary business development 12.03%.

Based on the project type, the new contract realisation consists of the infrastructure connectivity segment by 49.76%, buildings 18.98%, EPC 11.15%, water resources 8.09%, and subsidiaries 12.03%.

Waskita Karya Corporate Secretary SVP Novinato Ari Nugroho mentioned that there were several projects that contributed until October 2022, including the presidential secretariat building and supporting buildings in the presidential palace area in New Capital City (IKN) with a contract value of Rp1.35 trillion.

“Besides that, Umbulan Regional SPAM (Drinking Water Supply System) network construction project in East Java Province worth Rp115 billion also contributed,” Novianto added in his official statement quoted on Monday (21/11/2022).

Previously, the company had won two tenders in IKN, namely Tempadung Interchange-Jembatan Pulau Balang segment of IKN toll road worth Rp990 billion and Sepaku Ring Road Segment 4 Construction Package of the work/logistics road construction in IKN worth Rp182 billion.

“We continue to hunt domestic strategic projects. Besides that, we are also expanding our business overseas. Not only for experience, but also profit,” Novianto said.
