Slush is a not-for-profit organisation matching entrepreneurs and tech talent with top-tier international investors, multinational corporations, family businesses, high-net worth individuals looking to invest, executives and the media. PwC has been partnering with Slush since 2010 and in 2015 PwC became Slush’s first global partner.
Along with Slush, PwC plays an active role in developing startup ecosystems around the world and supporting entrepreneurs as they work to get their ideas off the ground and build sustainable businesses.
We are delighted to have attended Slush Helsinki 2018, which bought together 20,000 attendees from over 130 countries. We were excited to welcome our global Chairman, Bob Moritz, to experience Slush for the first time. You can hear from Bob about his experience at Slush Helsinki and why PwC is proud to support the world’s leading event for start-ups in his video. We would also like to thank the Finnish startups who supported us on our PwC booth including Jymy, which served its organic ice cream to attendees and JoyActor for providing their renewable energy power packs. During the extensive Official Slush Side Events, we also ran our PwC NextGen@Slush programme, bringing together NextGen Club members and Leader Academy Alumni from across the world for a series of exclusive networking events, labs, matchmaking meetings and curated experiences.
We are pleased to support the Slush Global Impact Accelerator. PwC works with Slush on mentoring social entrepreneurs from all over the world. They came together in Helsinki for a week’s bootcamp culminating in a pitching competition which was judged by our global strategy leader, Blair Sheppard.
