PwC is launching an AI-powered solution designed to help organizations meet General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements by automating data privacy monitoring, identifying compliance risks in real time, and strengthening governance across enterprise systems. Built in collaboration with Oracle, the solution integrates with Oracle Fusion Cloud applications—including Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)—to enable a shift from manual, fragmented compliance processes to a proactive, AI-driven approach to data privacy management.

GDPR and the new era of data privacy regulation

Workforce data privacy is a top priority for HR leaders worldwide. As GDPR continues to evolve, HR teams face pressure to swiftly adapt to regulatory changes – while managing growing volumes of sensitive employee, payroll, and personal data. This data is often scattered across platforms and external applications, making consistent auditability and compliance oversight difficult. At the same time, compliance efforts remain largely manual and resource-intensive, leaving organizations exposed to gaps, risk and inefficiencies. The stakes are high: non-compliance with GDPR requirements can result in penalties of up to €20 million or 4% of annual global revenue.

Forward-thinking organizations recognize that keeping pace with regulatory change requires more than reactive reviews—it demands a scalable, technology-driven approach.

PwC’s AI-powered GDPR solution enables HR teams to move from fragmented, manual compliance activities to a proactive, automated approach to data privacy governance.

AI-driven capabilities to modernize GDPR compliance

Our solution was built on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and combines regulatory and transformation experience with Oracle’s cloud platform to deliver a unified, scalable compliance framework. Key capabilities include:

  • AI-driven interpretation of GDPR and company-specific policies
  • Real-time detection of compliance risks and policy violations
  • Automated Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and risk workflows
  • Centralized compliance reporting with audit-ready insights
  • Integration across Oracle HCM and enterprise data environments

By embedding AI into compliance processes, organizations can continuously monitor policy adherence, identify risks earlier and improve transparency across stakeholders.

Driving better business outcomes

The solution is designed to help organizations:

  • Reduce compliance risk through early detection of violations
  • Lower operational costs associated with manual processes
  • Accelerate compliance workflows through automation
  • Improve governance visibility with real-time dashboards and data
  • Strengthen audit readiness and regulatory reporting

In addition, the solution provides a foundation for future data protection capabilities, including anonymization and enhanced privacy controls.

Built for evolving regulatory requirements

As data privacy regulations continue to expand globally, organizations need scalable, future-ready solutions. PwC’s GDPR solution leverages an integrated architecture—combining Oracle Integration Cloud, AI-driven compliance engines, and advanced analytics—to support continuous compliance monitoring and enterprise-wide governance.
