PwC excels in cybersecurity guidance for senior executives.

PwC announced that it was cited as a Leader in The Forrester Wave™: European Cybersecurity Consulting Providers, Q4 2019.

Forrester notes that: C-level communications, new delivery models, and price flexibility are key differentiators.

This recognition adds to Forrester’s ranking of PwC as a leader Globally and in the Asia Pacific markets earlier this year1. According to the European report, “PwC demonstrated an exceptional ability to blend technical skill with executive-level communication … Customer references cited highly skilled and experienced consultants, flexibility, and industry knowledge as strengths.”

The report states that customer demand is forcing big changes in pricing and delivery models for cybersecurity consulting services.  European customers struggle with the complexity of new business and security technologies and with finding skilled staff.   This translates into a number top priorities for European customers when engaging with Cybersecurity Consulting services providers, including: 1) quality of delivery, 2) consistency of skills, 3) consultant flexibility, 4) expertise; and 5) cost-effective delivery and pricing models.

According to the report, “PwC excels in cybersecurity guidance for senior executives. This firm offers an extensive series of CISO academies and leadership-mentoring support for new CISOs to help them excel in the boardroom. PwC is developing intellectual property (IP) in areas like DevSecOps, cyber threat intelligence, and incident response that it provides via a SaaS platform.  PwC’s innovation program gives consultants focused time to spend researching services innovations that will benefit customers. PwC also now offers a technical career track for consultants to retain experienced technical staff members who bring credibility for the firm’s customers.”

Grant Waterfall, Partner and Cybersecurity and Privacy Consulting leader for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, says:

“PwC, and specifically each member of our teams that work with clients each day to build business and consumer trust through a more secure digital society, are extremely proud to receive this recognition. Over the past year, cybersecurity has been elevated to Firm-wide platform at PwC, representing a formal commitment to our clients, markets, and employees, that cybersecurity will be top priority for how we serve each of them and grow our brand for the future.”

Richard Horne, Cyber Security Chair, PwC UK said:

"In our view, we have been recognised for our unique work combining strategic support for senior executives with deep technical expertise and offerings. We know that as cyber security continues to grow as a business issue, this approach is key to ensuring that we help organisations make a tangible difference to their risk position.

We believe that developing a broad and diverse talent base is critical to shaping a secure digital society and will continue to grow the investment that Forrester highlight in developing not just our own people, but also across the wider industry.”
