CEOs have high hopes for generative AI to transform the way work gets done, but widespread adoption across the workforce hasn’t quite taken hold, according to PwC’s Global Workforce Hopes and Fears Survey 2024. Only 12% of respondents—a cohort that was disproportionately young, skilled, and working in tech, media, telecommunications, or financial services—said they use the technology every day. (A slightly larger share, 16%, use it weekly, and 37% have never used it at all.) The findings captured in this slide show reveal that those daily GenAI users stand out in four significant ways, and can set an example for their colleagues as companies seek to spur wider adoption.
