Global Assurance Business Transformation Leader, Leader National Director Program, PwC Canada
Tracey Riley is the Global Assurance Business Transformation Services leader, who sits on the Global Assurance Leadership Team. She is also the Lead Partner for PwC Canada’s Director Program. Prior to her current role, Tracey was Managing Partner of Assurance for PwC Canada, leader of PwC’s Assurance business for the Asia-Pacific Americas (APA) Cluster, Managing Partner of the Consulting and Deals practice, a member of PwC’s Canadian Leadership team, and was also part of the G500 group of global PwC leaders. Based in Toronto, Tracey has more than 30 years of experience advising clients across all sectors in Canada, the US and the UK.
As leader of the Global Assurance Business Transformation Services, Tracey is focused on helping Territory Assurance Leaders around the world to optimize benefits from investments in technology and transformation programmes, while building the foundations for PwC’s Next Generation Audit. Tracey maintains a select list of Canadian clients where she provides Assurance services around IT and Process controls and risks. She is also the Lead Partner for PwC Canada’s Directors Program.
In 2002, Tracey was appointed to lead the Technology, Information, Communication and Entertainment (TICE) industry for PwC Consulting in Canada. Following IBM’s acquisition of PwC Consulting, Tracey’s leadership role expanded to include the TICE, Utilities and Telecommunications industries for IBM Americas.
Tracey re-joined PwC in 2006 as National Leader for Technology, Information, Communication and Entertainment (TICE) industry across PwC’s Tax, Consulting, Deals and Assurance lines of service.
In 2010, Tracey was asked to lead PwC Canada’s Consulting and Deals practice and was a member of PwC’s Canadian Leadership team.
From 2014 to 2018, Tracey was asked to take on the role of PwC Canada’s National Managing Partner of Assurance, where she had oversight of the national practice and its strategy. She also served as the Asia-Pacific Americas Assurance Leader during this period.
In 2020, Tracey served as the Global Assurance Clients and Markets Leader.
Tracey holds an Accounting degree from the University of Waterloo with a major in Economics. She is a FCPA, CA and Certified Information Systems Auditor. In 2016, she received WXN Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women award and was named a Fellow of the CPA profession. In 2018, Tracey was named to the WACE Co-op Hall of Fame for her work with the University of Waterloo to support cooperative education. Tracey is active in her community and is the former chair of the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health Foundation (CAMHF) finance committee. She now sits on the Ontario Chapter Executive of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
