PwC China is committed to investing in education for more than a decade, and continues to expand the scale and reach of education initiatives by prioritising programmes that equip children and youth with the digital skills they will need to thrive in the workforce of the future.

Experience
Creating a platform to engage thousands of students in a fun and interactive way #bethesolution
In collaboration with Adream Foundation, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), PwC China is striving to bridge the skills and opportunity gap. They are achieving this by delivering Tech Carnivals to students that emphasises the importance of digital skills and design thinking by focusing on eight themes:
- Information security
- Health
- Sports
- Food
- Transportation
- Energy
- Waste and
- Biodiversity
The content for these carnivals was developed by Adream Foundation’s development team, taking into account the needs of schools in China.
The content has been designed for both online and in person delivery, and includes an online video series (featuring PwC China volunteers) that explores topics such as critical thinking, big data and artificial intelligence.

Impact
In 2021, the programme was implemented in Jiangxi province and reached nearly 20,000 students. In 2023, PwC China extended its support to eight community Tech Carnivals in various neighbourhoods in Shanghai. These carnivals emphasised gamified technology literacy and critical thinking and engaged over140 children.
