Marie-Chantal Dréau is a partner in PwC Canada’s Deals practice in Montreal.

She leads the Forensic Services practice for the Quebec region. She advises companies on fraud prevention and detection matters. In connection with cases of suspected fraud, she conducts investigations and proposes solutions aimed at recovering clients’ assets, mitigating reputational risks and preventing recurrences. Her areas of specialization also include damage quantification in legal disputes and assessments of operational and internal control processes aimed at combating fraud (e.g. anti-corruption and anti-money laundering).

Marie-Chantal has over 20 years of experience in the areas of forensic accounting, damage quantification in legal disputes, operational and internal control process evaluation and regulatory compliance reviews in professional services firms and corporate settings. She joined PwC in 2005. She gives talks, publishes articles and helps train the next generation of leaders. In this regard, she taught accounting and auditing at the university level for several years. Her long-standing community involvement includes work with various non-profit organizations. She is particularly dedicated to promoting women’s talents through her involvement with les ProfessionnELLES, an initiative that seeks to realize the professional potential of PwC’s women staff members.

Marie-Chantal has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Diploma in Accounting from Concordia University, in addition to a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from the Université de Sherbrooke. She also has a number of specialized professional designations, including Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA), Investigative and Forensic Accountant (IFA), and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).
