PwC SEAC appoints Martijn Peeters as Chief Executive Officer

PwC South East Asia Consulting (SEAC) today announces that Martijn Peeters will assume the role of Chief Executive Officer, effective 1 July 2026, succeeding Simon Gealy, who will step down from his role after six years.

The transition is part of a planned succession, reflecting PwC SEAC's focus on continuity and growth across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.

As organisations across Southeast Asia accelerate investment in artificial intelligence (AI) and digital capabilities, focus is shifting firmly towards measurable business outcomes. Under Martijn’s leadership, PwC SEAC will seek to lead large-scale transformation programmes that drive cost efficiency, enable sustainable revenue growth, and embed technology and AI at the core of enterprise operations.

Martijn brings more than 25 years of experience in consulting and transformation, advising multinationals and national champions on revenue growth, operating models, organisational efficiency, and enterprise-wide change leveraging technology and AI. He currently serves as Consulting Leader for PwC Indonesia, as well as Leader of the Strategy & Operations practice for Southeast Asia — roles which he has driven significant growth in the consulting business.

He has previously held leadership roles as Consulting Leader at the former PwC Russia and Retail and Consumer Leader for PwC Eastern Europe. Martijn has led complex transformation programmes across various markets and industries driving tangible outcomes.

Simon steps down after leading PwC SEAC through a period of rapid change and strengthened regional collaboration, leaving a strong foundation for the firm’s next phase.
