CEOs see a very different world in 2019. According to the 22nd Annual Global CEO Survey, there has been a clear shift in what they have identified as the top threats to the health of the global economy and their own companies’ growth prospects.
What we might be looking at here is a risk realignment. Existential social concerns have receded from the forefront of CEO anxieties while pressures that impact the ease of doing business like policy uncertainty, trade conflicts and cyber threats have grown more prominent.
This series will examine US-China relations, rising nationalism and growing geopolitical tensions and the potential constraints on innovation.
