Attendees at events

What personal data do we collect?

We collect and process personal data about you when you register for attendance at our events. The personal data we will collect typically includes: 

  • name; 
  • job title and professional information; 
  • contact information; 
  • your organisation or education institution;  
  • any dietary, accessibility or other requirements (where applicable); and 
  • details of sessions you wish to attend during the event (if applicable). 

How do we use your personal data? 

We use personal data for the following purposes: 

  • to facilitate the event

    We will use your personal data to help organise the event, keeping a register of attendees, communicating with you about the event details, understanding any requirements for in-person event (dietary or accessibility). For an in-person event we will also share your personal data with the building management for security purposes.  
  • to collect feedback on the event

    We will use your personal data to collect feedback on the event to ensure the event was successful and understand if there is anything we could do differently.  In addition, you may be added to our contacts to market to, please see our section ‘marketing contacts’ to find out how we use your personal data to communicate with you when you are on our marketing list.  
  • to manage our relationship with our partners

    If we are running our event in cooperation with a third party we will share your personal data with that third party so they can manage their attendees and understand who has attended.   

Photographs 

We may take photographs or audiovisual recordings at our events for use in our internal and external communications, including marketing materials and social media channels. Please speak to a PwC representative or the photographer if you do not want photographs of you to be taken. 

How long will we keep your personal data? 

We will only keep your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which we collected it and to comply with any applicable legal, regulatory, accounting or reporting requirements.   

When permissible, we may anonymise your personal data instead of deleting it. In such cases, all identifying information is removed, making it impossible to associate the data with you or your identity.
