James Shira is PwC’s Global and US Chief Information & Technology Officer, responsible for leading and driving PwC’s technology and information security strategy to technology-enable the Network of Firms. He joined PwC in 2015 as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and has built and led our US and global information security function.
Over the course of 19 years, James has led security transformation programs in large financial services organisations and also at PwC. James is known as a change - and action-oriented executive who thrives on tackling large-scale challenges. Furthermore, he is known for his approaches to people management and integration of emerging technologies to enable business strategies.
James was one of the inaugural students in Columbia's Executive Technology Management program and has a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Baylor University with a concentration on Management Information Systems. He, his wife and two children reside in California.
